How to Get Abducted by Aliens and how to Avoid Them.

Sims 4 Get to Work pack came with an exciting occult included, Aliens! If you want to spice up your Sims life then you can try and get them abducted by aliens to add some interest to your game. I will also go over how to stop alien abductions if you start getting annoyed with frequent alien visits.

To get abducted by aliens in the Sims 4 you have to have the Get to Work expansion pack and either be involved in the scientist profession or have certain items to help increase the chances that your sim will be abducted.

How to get abduction by aliens:

To get abducted by aliens you need to increase your chances by engaging in particular activities in the game. In the Sims 4 aliens do not visit all sims unless they are actively increasing their chances of getting abducted. Here is what you need to do in order to increase your chances of getting abducted by aliens.

Sims 4 Get to Work

First, you must have the Sims 4 Get to Work to have aliens in your game. The Get to Work pack is a very engaging pack that allows you to purchase retail properties, open your own business, and go to work with your sims.

Get to Work first introduced professions to Sims 4. The pack comes with a variety of professions that allow you to go to work and play through the career with your sim. These professions include:

• Scientist
• Detective
• Doctor
• Actress (Comes with Sims 4 Get Famous)
• Interior Decorator (Comes with Sims 4 Dream Home Decorator)

Join the scientist career

If you want to get abducted by aliens joining the scientist career will increase your chances. During the scientist profession your sim will be required to have break throughs in order to advance to the next level of the scientist career.

If you want to learn more about breakthroughs and what type of objects you can unlock, I wrote a detailed guide going over each and every scientific breakthrough.

When your sim has a break through they will gain the ability to create a new invention with the Invention Constructor. When you have 7 breakthroughs you will have the ability to build the Satellite Dish.

Once you build the Satellite Dish you can set it outside your house and then click on contact aliens. This will make an alien abduction much more likely.

Alternatively you can contact aliens with the Out of this World Desktop. You will receive this desktop once you max out the scientist career to level 10. When you click on the Desktop you have the option to contact aliens.

Use the scientist technology without going through the career.

If you are not interested in playing through the scientist career you can easily access either the Satellite Dish or the Out of this World Desktop by cheating.

You first need to open the cheat bar by holding down ctrl+shift+c for windows or command+shift+c for mac. A small text box in the top left hand corner will appear, you can click on it and start typing. You will want to type bb.showhiddenobjects then click enter.

You will now be able to access objects that would require your sim to unlock by inventions including the Satellite Dish. It is easiest to find the Satellite Dish by searching for it in the buy menu.

If you want to use the Out of This World Desktop you will need to use type in bb.ignoregameplayunlocksentitlement into the cheat bar and then click enter. You can now purchase the desktop without needing to reach level 10 of the scientist career.

Grow your logic skill

Lastly you can get abducted by increasing your logic skill and using the backyard observatory. When you meet the list of criteria below you will have the option to "Search for the Truth" when you click on the backyard observatory.

All of the following must happen simultaneously:

• Have a minimum logic skill of 7
• Have the backyard observatory
• Must be at night between about 8:30pm and 7:00am
• Sim must be focused

When all of the above are present the "Search for the Truth" option will be available. If you have your sim search for the truth for a couple hours you are likely to be abducted by aliens in the next 24 hours of gameplay.

Visit the Alien World

There is a way to go straight to the alien world with your sim. In order to do so you will need to learn how to invent the Electroflux Wormhole Generator by achieving 11 breakthroughs in the scientific career.

When you first build the Electroflux Wormhole Generator you will not have the ability to travel to the alien world, you must first upgrade the Electroflux Wormhole Generator by dragging in the Inventor Constructor and then clicking upgrade Electroflux Wormhole Generator.

Once you finish the upgrade your sim will have the option to travel to the Alien world. There isn't much to do in the alien world, you may run into an alien here or there. The main purpose of the alien world is to collect rare crystals, plants, and other items you can't normally find in regular worlds.

Alien pregnancy

If you are playing with a male sim, and get abducted there is a chance your sim will get pregnant by an alien. If your male sim returns from an alien abduction with a stomach ache, then you should expect your sim to have an alien baby.

If you want to continue playing with the Sim but don't want to add a baby to your household you have the option to return the alien baby to the home land and the baby alien will be returned back to the alien world.

How to avoid getting abducted by aliens.

If you have no interest in playing with aliens or your sim keep getting abducted and you want it to stop there are a few ways to avoid alien abductions.

The easiest way is to avoid anything to do with the scientist career all together. I've played sims 4 since it released and the only time I ever have my sims get abductive is when they are actively in the scientist career.

If you want to play the scientist career you can use the satellite dish to prevent abductions. You invent the same way, and rather than clicking on contact aliens you click prevent abductions.
