The Minecraft game is flooded with different materials, allowing players to craft numerous items conveniently. If you are a Minecraft player, you might have heard about dyes categorized into different variants.

Primary dyes include red, white, black, blue, green, etc., which you can mix to get new dyes. The more you experiment with the dyes in Minecraft, the more variants you will discover. However, this article will help you prepare the Lime Dye in Minecraft and provide the necessary details about the item.

How to Prepare Lime Dye in Minecraft?

Lime dye is one of Minecraft's dyes that you can prepare to benefit in several ways. However, making this dye isn't as challenging as you might think, but it requires top-notch determination and understanding of the Minecraft Crafting Table.

1. Using Green Dye and White Dye

To make the Lime Dye in Minecraft, you must open the crafting table of a 3x3 grid. In the table, you must put 1 Green and 1 White Dye. If you want the Lime Dye, place these two ingredients in the correct spots on the crafting table.

Tip: You can get the Green Dye under the chests of the desert villages.

You should place the green dye in the top first box of the crafting table. Additionally, ensure that the white dye sits in the second next box to the green dye.

Importantly, upon correctly placing the ingredients, you will get 2 Lime Dyes in the right box. You can keep the Lime Dyes in the Inventory for future use.

However, earlier, the bone meal was used to prepare the lime dye with the green dye. But now, the White Meal has replaced the Bone Meal, making it much easier for players to get the Lime Dye in Minecraft. Overall, this method is the easiest way to get the lime dye in Minecraft.

2. Using Sea Pickle and Any Fuel

If you want another method to get the Lime Dye, you should have the Sea Pickle and any fuel, including coal or wood.

A. Getting the Sea Pickle and Wood/Coal

  • Sea Pickles can be found in the coral reef regions, especially in the top sections.
  • You can search for Coals in Minecraft within the mountains and caves of the overworld as a coal ore.
  • Minecraft has numerous types of woods that you can discover by visiting different in-game regions.

B. Preparing the Furnace

Preparing the furnace

You must arrange a Furnace once you have gathered the above items. Furnace can be prepared by putting 8 Cobblestones on the crafting table with nine blocks.

Leave the middle block of the crafting table and put all 8 Cobblestones in the nearby eight blocks as in the O-fashion. You will get the Furnace as soon you place it correctly in the crafting table,

Now that you have all the ingredients, including Furnace, Sea Pickles, and Coals/Woods, you can use them to get the Lime Dye.

  • In the Furnace Panel, put the Sea Pickle in the top block and the fuel source, wood or coal, in the bottom.
  • Wait a few minutes to complete the smelting process, providing the lime dye in the right box.

Can Lime Dye Be Purchased in Minecraft?

Besides these two methods to obtain the Lime Dye, you can purchase it from the Wandering Traders in Minecraft. Moreover, the Wandering Traders are a passive Minecraft mob that usually spawns next to the player. These mobs help trade essential items, making it easier for players to gain them without getting into danger.

They spawn randomly with 2 Trader Llamas in Overworld within a 48-block radius. Interestingly, they can appear by a claimed bell in the Bedrock Edition. However, these traders vanish after 40 minutes or 2 Minecraft Days. The Traders will sell 3 Lime Dyes for 1 Emerald.

In Minecraft, emeralds are rare minerals that act as a currency and can be obtained by smelting, trading, crafting, generating naturally, mining, and drops.
